How do you take your Whiskey (2 Viewers)

Following the roaring success of the Whiskey appreciation thread, i'm interested in knowing how people here drink their ball of malt.

would some people sneer at others who put ice in? I've tried it both ways (as an actor said to a bishop) but at the moment i prefer with ice. having said that, if i was drinking an expensive drop i'd probably leave out the ice.

I thought of that as an option but wasn't sure if ginger ale was mixed with whiskey. Proceed on you merry way.

yeah, but that might as well be a cocktail. i only do hot whiskeys when i'm sick. besides, most pubs won't serve you one past 8 or whenever it gets busy. it is a consideration.

Hot whiskeys should consist of at least 40% whiskey, not the weak concoctions one would get in a public house. A trace of honey, no need for anything else.
