Review in of the album in the Metro:

Hooray For Humans
Safekeeping
Out On A Limb
4/5 stars

Electro imps Hooray For Humans sound like all your favourite bands
playing at the same time. There are snatches of free-sampling
funkateers The Go Team! in the Cork trio's sherbet-pop whilst they
also raid the lucky bag of such super-twee indie figures as Mates of
State and Sugarcubes. Remarkably, the whole thing comes together
gorgeously: single Signature sounds like The Chalets jamming with a
some Canadian orchestral rock group; Chevy Chase features a call and
response 'duel' between vocalists Aine and Alan (in proper indie
style, they have dispensed with second names) , chugging Pixies-esque
guitars and a melodic hook that lingers long after the track has
finished. For those who wish the glory days of 90s alt.pop had never
ended, Hooray For Humans are here toanswer your nostalgia
cravings.

Thanks dude!
Oh and Trev, there prob will be XL at a later stage, but we can't afford them right now - you have to buy sizes in bulk or else it's way more expensive.

Review in Limerick Event Guide...

Hooray for Humans
‘Safekeeping’
‘Out On A Limb’ Records
4/5

Whether the current wave in the Irish music scene of spiky electro pop driven by heavy synth sounds will have a lasting longevity is anyone’s guess. In the meantime however, Hooray for Humans are at the crest of this wave and gleefully take pleasure from that fact.

The first band in three years to be signed by independent Limerick label ‘Out On A Limb’ records have been making waves in the short time they have been together. They have been labelled as ‘Ones to Watch’ by various publications and are made up of former members of Waiting Room, My Remorse and Eachtra.

The most interesting and arresting component of their music is the dual vocal dynamic. The shouty boy/girl vocals should get repetitive and boring, but do not. The vocals feature prominently and there is a confidence and chemistry between the duo that works well.

It helps also that there are some really great tunes on this album, solid toe-tapping, infectious songs that crawl under your skin. The music is upbeat and full of energy and enthusiasm. The opening tracks ‘Signature’ and ‘Too Many Cooks’ are cracking tunes.

The slower instrumentals ‘Goodnight’ and ‘Lucky Dip’ are a wonderful counterpoint to the ‘in your face’ nature of the rest of the album. All of the songs feature wonderfully intertwined harmonies between the duo.

This is an album that will divide opinion. However, for its arresting and exciting initial impact this album deserves to be heard.
