An Irish friend of mine works as a meat packer. most folks he works with are East European and a minority are women. the hours are long alright, he starts at 7 am if I remember correctly. they finish at 4 pm Friday's.

I worked on a pig farm for about 55 weeks in total from 1990-93. it was horrible job that had concentration camp elements. I got paid the equivalent £1.86 an hour at best (maybe 4.50 Euros now) I haven't eaten meat for 28 years but I'm still concerned for people who work at the bottom the agriculture business.

My mate's Dad is a bus driver. During lockdown the only people using the busses were junkies. One of them robbed a Spar and hopped on his bus to make his getaway.
