if it was ether why would they do it to women who were obviously accompanied?

or else it gets the hose again
 
This is stupid... you don't pass out after taking ether, especially not the quantity sniffed from a perfume bottle. it'll send you more into a drunken state, but you'd still be able to get the fuck back to your car.
for all science students, try robbing ether from your labs and go out sniffing it for the day... ever seen fear and loathing
