Well LOTR is interpreted by some as a colonialist, if not racist, allegory. Tall strong white noble elvy/manly types who have some sort of divine birthright to rule over the world fight off threat to their supremacy from loads of ugly dark primitive types from the other side of the world somewhere. Doesn't explain why the Dwarves are on the good-guys side though ..... So maybe WP types have latched onto it for this reason.

Ragnarok. Celtic Wolves is a shit name for a gang of Irish Nazis 'activists' simply because there aren't any wolves in Ireland.

This is because either:
a) there never existed here in the first place, or
b) they were here years ago but died out.

Either way, it doesn't really bode well for this bunch of chums. Especially if the answer is b). Hee hee.

If the answer is a), wouldn't it be more prudent to name the gang the Celtic Badgers or Celtic Red Squirrels.. OOOPS! make that Grey Squirrels. Something indigenous to Ireland. Shit - it doesn't look as sexy when you are putting the logo up in the gang hut, but more true to the ethics.
Furthermore, what if Wolves went on a cup run or something and ended up getting into the UEFA cup where they drew.. Celtic - who would you support!?

Finally, I'm curious as to the 'activities' of the Celtic Wolves. Do they beat people up? Do they stick up stickers? Is it all legal, or is this a shadowy Combat 18 type gang? Did you have a Christmas party?

I think part of the appeal is being in a secret gang, but maybe you will tell us as much as you can without putting your mission in jeopardy!
