"sextant" is a fucking amazing album. it was done around 1971 i think? sounds so fresh still.

its great, but i do find it quite hard to take, very disturbing stuff i find.

many consider that one of the weakest mirror albums. it is certainly the most atypical. the other one who was in HNAS plays on that, which is why its got clickly and guitary things going on. i still really enjoy it mind. i havent heard a bad thing by mirror, though i havent heard the "viking burial from a french car" or whatever its called, the latest one. collaboration with some scottish musicians. meant to be right stinker alas.

stunning album, alot of memories of being wideawake in some strange place at 6 in the morning connected with that one.

Ditto on Sextant - fantastic stuff.

'I have special plan..' is one of my favourite pieces of writing in a while. Must check out more Thomas Ligotti stuff

Currently at the top of my list:
Mocky - Mickey Mouse Motherf$%@ers
Stars Of The Lid - Dust Breeding (1.316)+
Chevron - E-mails and Viruses
The Groundbreaker - Fallacy & Fusion
Cornelius - Another Viewpoint

And I'm very disappointed with Missy E...

My flatmate broke my MP3 player and all my CDs are back in cork so all i'm listening to these days is the Comeback Kid album (excellent), the new latterman album (possibly the best punk album of all time) and a 2CD Ramones anthology i got in HMV for a fiver. Rawk.
