I dunno if it could be called jazz, I always thought it was Ethiopian pop, but I can't get enough of Mahmoud Ahmed's song Tezeta. Amazing song with the baddest bass line. In dire need of a good sampling.

some arsehole lent me the tilahoun gessesse volume (17?). great stuff. what i'm wondering though is if he is 'The Voice' of Ethiopa, why wait til Vol. 17?

also have the 2CD best of. good for picking out which volume you want to head to next...
