I had "Biggles gets his men" and I liked the name but never read it.

I remember praying in mass that god would send me on an adventure. I also wanted to be an orphan being raised a wicked aunt and uncle so that I could run away from them and live in a forest

I remember my "adventures" as a child, and they were all a bit odd. I used to play this one game on my own in the fields where I was a child soldier crawling around for hours in the long grass.

There was a field near my house as a kid which we used to crawl around in when the grass was long thereby creating a maze-like system of pathways covering the entire field. The farmer didn't like us being in there and sometimes chased us out. Magical.

Has Blyton ever been accused of antisemitisim?

Hal and Roger.

Amazon Adventure, South Sea Adventure etc
volcano adventure
"the boys go exploring in the pacific, studying volcanoes with a young scientist. they are let down into a boiling crater in a steel and glass ball...they investigate an active crater on the sea bed...they help rescue the inhabitants of doomed tin can island. but the scientist's strange behaviour only adds to their dangers..."

i picked it up from a bargain bin a few years ago because it had 'volcano' in the title but haven't read it
