dear music friends, what are we listening to today? (1 Viewer)

Okay... right now I'm listening to a track from Weakling and I think it's great. Anyone know of their stuff or anything about them?

weakling - ex-champs, drunk horse...some other cats..drummer called Little Sunshine...
album out on tumult which is completely amazing - better than an awful lot of big name scandi black metal...'dead as dreams' - i can copy you the album if you want
the font they use makes reading track names near impossible, i know i spent ages trying to work it out but have long since forgotten them...

Ah deadly... that'd be cool. Thanks for the zine stuff as well! Spent most of this weekend putting it together, but it's beginning to look well.

They broke up very recently. If you like them, check out Unwed Sailor on Epitonic as well. Epitonic is very good.

Pelé was also very good.

both amazing bands... but i dont think anyone comes near unwed sailor.

the new streets record
though it's not as good as the first one
yet!
and one sleater-kinney song, over and over and over and over till someone comes into the office and goes WILL YE TURN THAT SHITE OFF

Alright... I've come across Tyondai Braxton. He's darn good. Half of that band Battles.. but his own stuff I like a lot. Anyone know more about this goon?

I`m out fishing at the moment!!!
Just me, my fishing rod(and plastic dunnes bag for the catch!), my net and my laptop.
Ah tis a mild evenin out, a mild evenin.
Ugh..gotta go..somethings a tuggin at my rod!

do you live in the czech republic? a laptop while you're fishing? isn't that kinda, i dunno, anti-productive in the production of a chilled-out buzz or something?

Nah i don`t live there!
I was born in a little Slovakian town called Banska Bystrica, and instead of working in the local coal-mine(as my father, my mother and my 8 sisters did), i left home at the age 11for the bright lights big city of Brataslava.
While peeling potatoes there for a good 2/3 years i met a young Moldovian girl(she had fled the war there) and we both fell in love.
But after some trouble with the local Militia we went on the run to Czech Republic.

With no money and little prospects for both of us, we became friends with a gypsy family(or Roman as they are known there) and travelled the lenght and breath of Czech Republic singing songs and drinking Absinthe.
But my Inga had to go back to Moldovia!:( The war there had ended and she had to return to mind the triplets and 2 sets of twins she had left behind.
Myself, after going on the run in Slovakia & then prosecuted for vagrancy in C. Republic, was prevented from entering Moldovia where i had planned to start my new life as a pig farmer(insert boring visa/boarder restrictions here..).

Then i moved to kerry and started listening to Daemian Frost - my live was changed for ever.

like all good immigrants. seriously though, what's your actual story? what's your bleedin' story?
