contraception (4 Viewers)

The other day i found out the immaculate conception doesn't refer to the conception of jesus but to the conception of his mother (mary, fact fans). Jesus' conception is referred to as the virgin birth.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass that on . . .

maybe, a pierced uterus or pelvic inflammatory disease can be kind of a dampener for fertility though.
Running the risk of castration, depression, dementia, the
terrible pain affected by a third of all men who undergo the
procedure... yeh that's a laugh.
Anyway, I'm talking statistics and probabilities, not
possibilities. A man undergoing a vasectomy will have a
much higher chance of a complication and a much lower
chance of conceiving naturally in the event of a reversal
operation than a woman who is taking birth control or
has had a device inserted.

Odd as, that's where I went. Maybe it was the five year thing and me being childless in my 30's? My options were laid out as diaphragm and condom combo. That's it. So it's, "oh, I'll be right back," 40 minutes (of fumbling, poking an prodding in confusion) later... "okay I'm ready now." Fuck sake. A joke, like.

Without a doubt, you should be able to get this done. it's just a case of finding out where. the Irish Family Planning Association should do it, also as its a voluntary organisation it should be cheaper then anywhere else.

they're really lovely there.
if i remember correctly, it's free to talk to a nurse (also free condoms and pregnancy tests).

it wouldn't be a standard procedure if those were common effects.
for comparison, possible side effects of ibuprofen include

  • Disturbances of the gut such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, indigestion or abdominal pain.
  • Skin rashes.
  • Bleeding from the stomach or intestine.
  • Stomach or duodenal ulcer.
  • Retention of water in the body tissues (fluid retention), resulting in swelling (oedema).
  • Headache.
  • Dizziness.
  • Depression.
  • Confusion.
  • Drowsiness.
  • Balance disorders involving the inner ear (vertigo).
  • Sensation of ringing or other noise in the ears (tinnitus).
  • Visual disturbances.
  • Abnormal reaction of the skin to light, usually a rash (photosensitivity).
  • Allergic reactions such as severe skin rashes, swelling of the lips, tongue and throat (angioedema) or narrowing of the airways (bronchospasm).
  • Kidney, liver or blood disorders.

fuck that, i'm throwing all my nurofen in the bin.

You've done an excellent job in convincing me to get a vasectomy.
Your point about ibuprofen has cast all doubt from my mind. You
should join a missionary group. Or Al Qaeda!

less stains.
and why has no-one aswered my question?

is there somewhere you can freeze yer jizz in ireland?
people are begining to freeze their childs umbilical cords (for stem cells and whatnot) so there must be. your own freezer might not be the best idea, well not if you have some icing left over in there for cinnamon rolls.

My placenta, complete with umbilical cord, is still in the freezer. I don't know what to do with it.

They probably would for most women but no American doctor would dare with me and my history. I assume fear of lawsuits if on the off chance it killed me. I asked about it here (in hopes) and they said no because I haven't had a child.
I know lots of women, myself included, who haven't had kids and who had one fitted. My GP was telling me that it's an extremely popular contraceptive method in Scandinavian countries for women who haven't had kids. It's meant to be more painful if you haven't given birth but tbh I found it alright. Bit of abdominal pain afterwards but nothing Jack Daniels couldn't fix;) Some GPs don't like to fit them because it's still relatively rare and they don't have much practice at it - mine sent me to the Well Woman instead.
