I've just noticed that R.E.M. are playing Ardgillan Castle on the 19th of June next.... Ardgillan castle!! it's in Ballbriggan! (according to google) have anyone ever heard of gigs being played here before? i haven't....

such a pity it's going to be destroyed by concert going folk then suppose it's somewhat of an alternative to marley park. it's really nice up there too. good views, fresh dublin mountain air, but god help anyone that lives that far from town!

no, no concerts have ever been there before. it's only 4 minutes on the train, plus an hour's walk, or a 10 minute bus trip from the station.

loads of space for a big event, and natural stadium seating.
