Yeah Brick was one of those relentlessly Quirky/Clever films that didn't ever need to join the real world in the third act because it has no place in the real world. as film noir homages go it's not as good as killing of chinese bookie or pulp fiction but a worthy runner up to Tanzemti (13) and No Country as the noir of the decade. Besides it was about five million times better than the black daliia which was fucking shite.

I'd never have thought of Pulp Fiction as a noir homage, I guess when you think about it it is a bit.

Noone has mentioned Rescue Dawn yet (or even Little Dieter for that matter)

The Man Who Wasn't There?

Yup that was a great film too. When did Billy Bob become one of the finest actors in hollywood? was there just a major drop off in acting talent? He's been great in every film I've seen him in. Even Armageddon Though Steve Buscemi steals the show there.

Suppose at a stretch Lebowski has noir elements.

I liked Rescue Dawn a lot. It pisses me off when people go on about the ending being a load of american flag waving shit. It's about an American fighter pilot and the ending's set on an American air craft carrier it's American and flag waving because Americans are fucking flag wavers, yis short sighted pricks.
