dark entries,
bela (of course)
kick in the eye,
passion of lovers,
silent hedges,
all we evr wanted was everything,
spirit........actually all of it was pretty amazing.

Hi all

V tired and wee bit hung over from the club and the Kopparberg Pear Cider ! As I'm sure ye all are!

I don't have a full set, but from memory and in no particular order and sort of a rehash of what I sent to the Bauhaus message board earlier http://www.bauhausmusik.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1
and just to iegoth http://groups.yahoo.com/group/iegoth/

Burning From The Inside
In The Flat Field
Spirit
Stigmata Martyr
Double Dare
Hollow Hills
Swing The Heartache
Terror Couple Kill Colonel
She's in Parties
The Passion of Lovers
Silent Hedges
Kick in the eye
Ziggy Stardust

All We Ever Wanted
Transmission - For Manchester
Severance - because we're Irish!
Telegram Sam
St Vitrus Dance
Rosegarden Funeral Of Sores
Bela

3 Encores.

My memory getting fuzzy now.. someone else will have to fill in the blanks and sort it out into a proper order.

Bela was last. Telegram Sam ended in encore 2 and restarted in encore 3.
Transmission and Severance were in the encores.

We got extra songs compared to the States - All We Ever Wanted, Severance, Transmission/St Vitrus Dance.
But Slice Of Life was dropped. And we got a 3rd encore - the States didn't get that.

Set was just as in mins under 2 hrs. Lights went out 9pm, warm up music started. They went on at 9.05 and went off finally at 11.02/03 ish.. but it could easily have been the 2 hrs.

Peter said during the show that they have never played here and he's honoured because he is a Murphy. His dad is Irish..
Hey I'm a Murphy too and I've an uncle Peter - just not the same one though!!

Thought the sound was a bit dodge in places but it was grand over all. Seems that Peter was back on form and better than in the States.

I'm privileged to have seen them now 3 times. But jealous to the one's going to the UK one's.. aghrr!

Barry yeah didn't get to meet you after all of that. Did you meet up with Daniel after all? Saw Bren there alright and one of the others, name escapes me - could have been even be you. I bet we know each other to see but just don't know it!

Orla

P.S the club was jammers last night, so sorry if any of ye were disappoined and couldn't get in.
I've the playlist to type up.. agh feck it - tomorrow!
But do pop in at some stage and say hello. I'll be the blonde woman at the decks!

Right just after posting to Boards.ie

Pooh of the Bauhaus message Board put up a few pics of the people off that, including me..
But he got a pic of the setlist..
http://www.bauhausmusik.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=639

So there ya are.
Double Dare not in..

I'm confused as I thought it was morphed into something else and like I said there or it's my old age catching up on me!

If people were suprised at Severance, they played Severance in London in '98.

On it for those that are interested are the set lists of all the '98 gigs :
http://www.bauhausmusik.com/tourdate...s/restour.html
The one's I saw were Nov 7 & 8, Brixton Academy.

I was really surprised at Transmission and delighted. I think that got the crowd more than anything due to the complete surprise - I don't think (but could be wrong and will stand corrected if so) that they never played it before..

Hi Ramps! Hi Orla!

Still the coolest band ever. There's few things more satisfying than hearing - all at the same time - dub bass, clockwork drumming, ear-bleeding guitar and a singer who can sing! With proper songs! Putting on a proper show! And their cover of Transmission thankfully erased all memory of that disgusting New Order gig I saw.

I never met Daniel Ash. This upsets me greatly.

Went to the (other) goth night in the Belvedere afterwards. Made me feel a bit funny, don't think I'll be doing that again for a while.

Ah, I'd write more but nobody here gives a flying fuck

This was fucking deadly
Peter Murphy looked like he was sizin' up to kill someone
with that stage stalkin he was at all night!
Class class class.

what was belvedere like?

back of murphy's head was brilliant. and his red cape? it was all i could have hoped for.
version of transmission was utterly tragic, however.
