I'd assumed that he'd done something conceivably useful like got sea water from the Atlantic or something, and investigated what temperature that froze at. That would be useful, right? Shipping? Right?
No. The cunt got SOME salt, and lashed it into a beaker with a bit of water, froze that and called it zero. SOME. Fucking salt.
He didn't even write the amount down, this is the relevant section from his lab notebook "yerrah, sure anyway, lashed a bitta salt into that beaker yoke there, twas dirty enough too in fairness, but fuckit, we'll press on. I've a fierce head on me altogether this morning. Anyway, that's zero. Close enough I'd say. Good enough for them yanks anyway."
