ATP..first weekend anyone ? (1 Viewer)

Me and 3 buddies are heading to the first weekend of ATP..all that is left is 5 berths, so we need another head.
Is there anyone out there looking to jump in with someone ?

am i REALLY goin' to have a good time if i go?
will i REALLY be one of "the kids" at 32?

I'm enamoured by the fact that we can kip in chalets rather then mucky tents. I'm feeling the years too, and would rather not have stones sticking into my back as I try to get a couple of hours rest before additional carrying on.

ATP 1 has Mogwai, Tortoise and Shellac .. I think I should go anyway :/

you're right testicles, 2nd weekend is much better. the onloy reason i'd have for going to the first is trans am... i hope they play in london or something too... then i'll just go to the 2nd weekend. i'd love to see le tigre getting fucked by lightening bolt, like, porn style. that would be pretty funny.

boredoms is Voordoms now - 3 drummers and Eye with a microphone and a load of pedals and possibly decks. my bud in italy says it's the sickest thing he's ever seen. completley ill. razor sharp.

i'm just 'worried' (ha yeah right) that all the mad shit i want to see will be on the friday and i'll spend saturday and sunday going "this indie shit is a load of bolloxkkk".

and yeah steve malkmus puts on the best show i've never seen.
is sightings playing atp? i can't remember.
check out www.nofunfest.com - i was tempted to go to that but it just seems too messy going to america right now....them being cunts and all. and trying to find someone to put me up (put up with me) would be a pain too.

it's not just money anyway, it's time off work as well
and mental and physical well being

also, I won't be able to buy me a new wardrobe of outfits for the first weekend this year as per usual, let alone enough for two! So there's no *way* I'm going to both and being seen in the same thing twice. The shame!

I have no such theory about the Pixies, Martin said last night that Robin has a theory. I said I didn't think so what with Albini publicly stating that he doesn't like the pixies.

I'm pretty sure MOB will play weekend one though, seeing as Bob Weston is producing the new MOB album and playing live tape loops at the gigs.
