I've grown to like Lars' pots and pans snare, but it doesn't get used very much on this album.

well, he IS one of the founding members. but yeah, his playing is nothing compared to the old stuff.

Best album they've done since the 80s I think. Some awful moments on it but it's such an improvement.

I'm on track three now and I have to say it's not horrible. Kinda sounds like a mix of Justice and Black albums. I'm sure I would have loved it when I was 15. They still draw the songs out too much tho.

i heard most of it on the metal show monday night. the singing/lyrics are fucking gash. A lot of the riffs remind me of older metallica and one in particular of creeping death

em....okay I hate metal normally and especialy these fuckers but they were on the telly last night playing a new song and....uh, well it sort of rocked. Well, the last part did anyway, great guitar solos!

it's not a bad album at all!
obviously we could debate all today why Metallica are no longer relevant but we wont.

"Broken, Beat & Scarred" which is song 3 is pretty good and has a great riff.
Sweetoblivion did point out to me that the line "what don't kill ya make ya more strong" is grammatically incorrect it should be "make you stronger"
