I was there, it was great, excellent quality, only thing was the sound was a bit odd, seemed to be an imbalance in the speakers or something

The odeon cinema club are showing alien next thursday, 16th. They're showing 2001 tonight. http://www.odeon.ie/gallery.html Its free in, you've just got to book a table in advance. Not as good as seeing movies in a proper cinema but ya can have a drink and watch some good movies for free. The noise from the bar can be a bit distracting though.

I remember seeing that film for the first time when it premiered on UTV after the 1982 WC Final. I was only 10 but the film made a lasting impact even to this day. Thier was something about that ships interior and the alien itself which was suffused with an oily, warehouse sheen as if the Industrial Revolution had somehow returned to haunt the the information age. Then their was the pasta scene or was that spaghetti?
