Looks yummy. Had a few from that brewery. Love English stouts.

yea - we have a few bottles of of their "old hooky" on the rack but there are a few others we have that I want to try first .

including these below and few odd belgian ones we bought at Buckfast Abbey...:)

Old Hooky is nicer on cask. That dark Bombardier was a disappointment for me. Never had that Harveys one.

the harveys is from a small brewery in Lewes and is not widely available outside the South East of England.

to be honest, I bought a few of those bombardier for the Supersonic Festival the other week only because they were called "Satanic Mills". I had one at about 3.30 in the morning so can't remember much about it.

I just got me a bottle of Hooky Gold from that Hook Norton Brewery for this evening, along with a couple of bottles of my current favourite:

Aldi are now stocking a "Traditional Irish Ale". It's being brewed by the Carlow Brewing Company who make O'Hara's stout. 4 330ml bottles for 5.99. If you've had any other Carlow products I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

we had a belgian night with a new work dude and i finally got to have some Westvleteren ... transported in a crate in the dudes van

fucking yum

We are no brewers. We are monks. We brew beer to be able to afford being monks.". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westvleteren_Brewery

and some of these

and a few other I can't remember

Wow. Does it live up to the hype? Similar to Rochefort 10 I assume. Much nicer? Lucky you.

I'm actually very interested to hear what you thought of that beer....
