once again the "city slickers" pay the price of being cool over the "boggers" as its 14 euro in dublin, and only 7.50 brit pounds in belfast!

pricks.
though thats prolly the same amount now that i think about it.......
i saw them last year and thought they were just ok. worth a look.

lads tonight! but it's a long weekend!

Despite what the Bearded Lady says, AMT are one of the best live bands in the world. ROCK! in technicolour - as far removed from monochrome singer-songwriters as possible.

And they like WWF too.
Makoto Kawabata on his favourite ever wrasslin' bout:
"Since I'm a fan of the Undertaker, it'd have to be either the two-man Boiler Room match from Survivor Series, or else Hell In A Cell from King of the Ring. It's too hard to choose between them".
(from SALT issue 4, feat. AMT, BORIS, Gary Smith, etc. contact [email protected] to get a copy).

what i got from the whole situation was that jimmy cake were asked to play and they said they couldn't or didn't know or something like that, then the limerick promoters asked estel to play, estel said yes, then jimmy cake decided to play so estel were told - goodbye!

as far as i know....
as far as i know!

Phew.
I heard a rumour that swing kid likes to ride shoes.
just thought i'd post it on a public board for everyone to digest, groundless and factless though it may be.

ride that shoe. ummmmmm.

Any way - from what i`ve read/heard they`re meant to be pretty good live.
At least their recordings can be bought at reasonable prices at the gigs!

So why bother posting that Swingkid? All you did, based entirely on hearsay, was to infer that we deliberately gazzumped Estel which is absolute nonesense. We never even knew they'd been approached. For shame. Now I'm going to blow my stupid head off with the gun my Mother wore on her wedding day.

well i know for a fact estel were asked to play, and then told they couldn't. i'm just not sure about the exact details on the jimmy cake side, like if it is true that you weren't initially going to play and then decided you were playing in the end.

what's mean?
i replied cos someone asked...

Hai!

AMT have been just smashing so far this weekend.
They're playing In C, Pink Lady Lemonade and La Novia, which in Limerick took an hour and a half!
And they're playing them very very loud.

Great merch table too. Atsushi's (bass player) solo CD-R in hand made origami packaging is just delightful.

As regards the very very loud thing....They were very very very loud in Whelans last time....I'm bringing earplugs (or maybe not going to stand beside the speaker).

But they are smashing......I hope that the lady from Ringu is there again tonight.....
