i was quoted €85 to get the wheel rebuilt in Wolfe cycles, i think i'll buy a new one. Thanks for all the advice bike peeps

My bike is a commuter with 700 / 35c disc wheels, i can find any on chain reaction that match that. Where did you get you wheels for you commuter?

The more i look around on the internet the more i'm thinking that alright. Something like this only it can take a disc.

Yeah it's separate. it's the 3rd smallest one. Years ago i changed the middle ring on the front and it kept slipping. The bike mechanic said it was because the chain was worn/shaped with the rest of the cogs and i'd need to replace the lot. Was he talking shite?

The ones I'd use (28c) are €35 so I'd say I'll get one. Only need a back rupee for now. Is it ok to change a cog on the cassette with out changing the whole lot?

Do they clean the chain set when they service your bike? mine is covered in gak and needs a good service.
