    songs called 'water'

How about 'The Ocean' by The Velvet Underground, or the rather good 'Great Waves' by Dirty Three featuring Chan Marshall on vocals, or to further diversify 'Gulf Shores" and 'Ohio River Boat Song' by Will Oldham, or the album 'A River Ain't Too Much To Love' by Smog or 'Tahquamenon Falls'...

Bands once considered to be shit, remained shit and always will be shit

2nd and 3rd Royal Trux albums are amazing Don't like Jon Spencer (or GO4) that wasn't the point John Peel prefered Mushrooms to Carrots. Random made up fact, and he loved Carrots... Speaking of The Stooges I really like Sonic Youth's version of I Wanna Be Your Dog, it's rather good

    Will Oldham = Children's Music?

Have just stuck B"P"B's CD single "no more workhorse blues" into my pc and in iTunes under Genre it shows up as 'Children's Music'. Yes he has covered nursery rhymes in the past but seeing as the CD shows a bare chested wench being taken from behind by a giant wolf it doesn't really scream...

Why yes I have, quite recently in fact and anyone who claims that Franz Ferdinand don't sound like Gang of Four must be at least partially deaf - alright White Stripes just sound like John Spencer/Royal Trux/Boss Hog but I was pretending to be pissed off and replied in haste and dislike White...
