Jesus, that new sound system in Whelan's is loud though. Lots of pained expressions around during Schnauss' set. My jeans were blowing against my leg from the bass. Glad I had earplugs.

Agreed. SOTL - beautiful, everything I'd hoped for. Sound for Schnauss was too loud to for comfort. Missed the last 5 minutes or so of his set because my Mum couldn't bear it.

Really annoys me when this happens in venues!There's no reason why this should happen.The management should be done for hearing damage that would get them to sort it out.
