I'm not complaining. I'm just admitting my laziness. If I was actually bothered, I'd do something about it. Like dinner. I'm hungry but that means getting off the couch and cooking something. I can't be bothered. If I get hungry enough, I'll move the 2 feet it takes to get to my 'kitchen'.

I've only ever had 2 girlfriends. The first one asked me out while I was working Quinnsworth in Wexford - that lasted for a few months. The second I met in college and had to pursue for a year to get her to go out with me - that's lasted 18 years and counting.

So my advice is - go to college, and the guy should ask the girl out (repeatedly)

One of my mates asked out a girl that he had been getting on really well with (workmate). He was told in no uncertain terms "I would NEVER go out with you"!

If she's flirty with you but saying this then she might genuinely be busy so give it a little while and ask again, if she thinks you're a pest surely she'd say something about liking you but not in that way or not wanting to ruin a friendship.

I'm hopeless at telling if a guy likes me, having hornbags as friends has left me with the impression that most guys would fuck any woman they can, so how are you supposed to know if someone is talking to you puerly cos they want to get laid or besause they like you (and want to get laid)?

I wasn't meaning to complain. I was more curious than anything. It's very interesting to see how many people have tried dating websites.

And, you don't even have to be hooked up to feel restricted. I've had a few male friends who've been very isolating to hang around with because everyone seems to assume coupledom.
