I've never and probably will never watch a TED Talk. I find that people who try to talk to me about TED talks seem to think that watching TED talks somehow makes them more intelligent informed on all subjects in life. Which frankly is more off putting then the idea of watching a TED Talk to begin with.

In short the only Ted I ever want to watch talk is this lad

yeah, a lad I worked with never shut the fuck up about TED talks and he was the biggest wanker I ever met in my whole life, so fucked if I was ever gonna watch one.

In saying that I did watch the David Epstein one because I was interested in the subject and had just read his book. The talk was a bit shit though because he was telling stories from the book, which I had just read. So TED talks get a 0/10 rating from me.

i've watched lots of them, but watch them more or less in the same context that i watch cat on a roomba. out of maybe 50, i've seen 2-3 that were worth recommending. they all follow the same formula, a lot like commercial hip hop.
