Ritual, the new LP from Jape hits the shops today.
The follow up to 2004’s The Monkeys In The Zoo Have More Fun Than Me, Ritual is already being tipped as album of the year material…
Road Records – where Jape will be playing live on Saturday 7th June at 1.30pm – said the record is "…ten slices of wonderfully laid back electronic pop sounds with one or two more laid back folky based acoustic tunes thrown in. It’s got the perfect blend of electronic beats, synth effects and live guitars so as to fall somewhere between blissful summer electronic pop and funky indie rock. Lovers of funky electro pop will love this as will fans of top quality new wave and indie pop."
If you can’t make it to Road tomorrow then you can cath Jape live at the following gigs:
6 Jun 2008 Roisin Dubh, Galway
7 Jun 2008 Tower Records (Instore), Dublin
8 Jun 2008 Electric Avenue, Waterford
