Young Hearts Run Free – The Newness In Every Stale Thing

The next Young Hearts Run Free event is on Saturday 11th February and will feature performances from Caoimhín Ó’ RaghallaighDavid Kitt, Donal DineenYeh DeadliesPorn on Vinyl & more. This one will take place on Saturday 19th February, 2011, at the lovely environs of The CO-OP, 12 Newmarket, Dublin 8, and the evening will run from 7.30pm – late (live acts start at 8.30pm). Admission is €15, and there will be cake and fairy lights and such.

It really gladdens the heart to have people performing like Caoimhín Ó’ Raghallaigh, David Kitt, Donal Dineen, Yeh Deadlies, Porn on Vinyl, Peter Toomey (Brainbeat), Niall McCormack (HiTone), George Rogers and Bernie Divilly (Glider) as part of the night, but also, to have the great fiddler Tommy Peoples back with us again. When he took part in one of our literary events on Melancholy/The Promise of More last year, his musical take on those subjects made everyone very glassy-eyed. Also, after Donal Dineen’s great interview with Dónal Lunny at Christmas, we thought it fitting to have him do an interview with Tommy this time around.

There will be other special guests announced nearer the time, so do keep your eyes peeled, and please do spread the word to whoever you think might benefit from a little newness in every stale thing.
