This Saturday the Young Hearts Run Free collective team up with Sounds Alive for a live broadcast of Nick van der Kolk‘s Love + Radio show, followed by Dónal Lunny, Paddy Glackin, Adrian Crowley, Spook of the Thirteenth Lock & Margie Lewis.
The first part of the night is a live broadcast from Chicago-based award-winning radio producer/presenter Nick van der Kolk, who broadcasts the series Love + Radio –
“a music-documentary hybrid version of the podcast Rick Moody called “one of the great underground radio phenomena of recent years.” Delve into the hidden and personal far reaches of human experience with found sound, unreleased material, remixed stories, live production and tons of stuff you will never hear online or anywhere else (because we’re not allowed to).”
– and then there will be a little interval, and a special presentation featuring the wonderful Dónal Lunny and Paddy Glackin, Adrian Crowley, Spook of the Thirteenth Lock, and Margie Lewis.
The venue is the Market Hacienda on Little Mary Street. Doors are at 7pm, with the live broadcast kicking off at 7.30pm. Soup will be served(!). Admission is €10 but you have to email [email protected] to reserve a place due to the venue’s limited capacity.
