The Twisted Pepper celebrates its third birthday this weekend with three days of events & we’ve a few tickets for you to win.
This weekend 17-19 November the Twisted Pepper will be celebrating three years on the trot. 3 years of 2 steps forward, 1 step back. 1 to the side, 4 steps over there, 7 steps around. In that time the Pepper has gone from being purely a bar with a basement, to a fully fledged multi use space for readings, talks, comedy & performances, a Daniel O’Donnell & Arcade Fire endorsed coffee shop (3FE w/ Colin Harmon & co), a book shop (The Loft Bookshop w/ Rob Brown), music store (Elastic Witch w/ Gib Cassidy), barbers (The Boxcutter w/ Rachel Hanapy), a Studio (in association with Ableton), a rum bar, exhibition space and plans for more in the pipeline. We’ve even been known to have DJs and bands play and all.
The venue is the same as how it started out; simply a space for us to try ideas out, some work, and some fall spectacularly on their arse. In many ways everything has changed, but nothing’s changed at all…
To celebrate our 3 years we’ve curated 3 days, evenings & nights of carefully picked international & local guests & residents that we feel best represent 3 years of being at the Pepper , as well as a selection of comedy, live shows, art exhibitions, performances. Each of the day trippers (3FE, Elastic Witch, The Loft Bookshop & The Boxcutter) will also being running special offers on their goods & wares throughout the whole weekend too.
