Tickets are on sale now for the Irish leg of The Wedding Present‘s “Seamonsters 21st Anniversary tour” in October.
They’ll be playing Seamonsters in its entirety, plus about 40 minutes of other tunes, at Dublin’s Button Factory on Friday 2nd October, at the Roisin Dubh in Galway on the Saturday 3rd October, and at Cyprus Avenue in Cork on Sunday 4th October.
2012 is a busy year for The Wedding Present. After a barnstorming appearance at the SXSW Music Festival [playing 10 shows in 4 days!] the band performed to adoring audiences across the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. Of course they’ve saved the best for last and are bringing the whole show back home to Europe, including the UK and Ireland. Audiences have been left stunned by the energetic shows, consisting of new songs from their critically acclaimed new album ‘Valentina’, beloved favourites and, of course… the long awaited live performance of their intense ‘Seamonsters’ album, which has been hailed as almost a piece of performance art.
