Seven Quarters: Patrick Kelleher, Magic Pockets – Whelan’s, 4th July

7″ club night Seven Quarters returns to Whelan’s on Friday July 4th, this time with Patrick Kelleher and Magic Pockets live and on vinyl The first Seven Quarters night was held back in April, with Katie Kim and Jennifer Evans performing, and that night’s vinyl sold out instantly. Info on how to ensure you get a copy of the single this time round can be found down below.

Patrick Kelleher
Patrick Kelleher is Dublin-based and has been making echo-drenched ghost pop since 2008. His performances; cryptic but honest communications, are at once bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and bored.  Evolving out of the chaos of his Cold Dead Hands, Kelleher’s solitary performances rely on his somnolent vocals, heavy beats and engaging stage presence. The reverb clouds westering, clearer and colder sonic skies lie ahead.

Magic Pockets
Magic Pockets is the solo synthesizer project of Ruadhan O’Meara (No Spill Blood). His dark analogue compositions draw upon the works of Tangerine Dream, Goblin, Ashra, Heldon, Fabio Frizzi, Klaus Schulze, John Carpenter etc, combining the meditative and absorbing qualities of Kosmische Musik with the stark tension of vintage horror soundtracks.
