Mumblin’ Deaf Ro, Skelocrats, Bill Blood – The Grand Social, 1st March

Rather than wait 20 years for the Dictionary Crimes retrospective tour you can see Mumblin’ Deaf Ro play it live in its entirety at a ‘Choice Music Prize warmup’ gig in The Grand Social on 1st March.

Ro will be joined by SkelocratsBill Blood and your €10 admission also gets you a download copy of Dictionary Crimes. Here’s his personal invitation to you (yes, you):

Hi all,

Hope you enjoy this hemail (if you’re a boy)/shemail (if you’re a girl) – (delete as appropriate).

Before you get all political, the subject line clearly says pre Choice.

A pre-Choice gig is something that I made up as a way of milking the publicity that comes with the Choice Music Prize night on 7 March. As a part-warm-up/part-cashing-in I am doing a gig in the Grand Social where I will play Dictionary Crimes in full, from start-to-finish, amen.

Support on the night comes from my Popical buddies Skelocrats and the fantastic Bill Blood. It’s a tenner in, which includes a free download of the album for those of you who are afraid of commitment and haven’t already bought the album.
For those of you who have been asking how I find the energy to play gigs and be dynamite in the sack, there will be the usual between-song Q&A.
And another thing – how come I’m not on any of your* spam lists?
(I think three uses of italics is enough for one email.)
Rest in peace.

Ro
