LAUREL HALO [Hyperdub/Mute]
The first time we heard Laurel Halo’s Quarantine, her debut LP on Hyperdub, we felt like we’d been lobotomized. Second time around, the very structure of our sensory receptors had changed. And on the third, we knew we had to bring her to Dublin. Widely-hailed as one of the albums of the year, they don’t come better, or more brain-mangling than Quarantine. Halo marries the production of dub techno to something wholly new – vocal-orientated, sparse, cold, but inviting. Her live show will feature very special visual accompaniment from Konx Om Pax [Hudson Mohawke. Martyn, Lone]

One somethingteenth of Patrick Kelleher and His Cold Dead Hands/Children Under Hoof, Ger Duffy’s School Tour project seeps with spectral vintage keyboards, kraut rhythms, and reverbed vocals.
