Athlone’s Luan Gallery is currently hosting I Hear A New World, a “dynamic Visual Music exhibition” featuring work by Irish and international artists, composers and film makers.
I Hear A New World is a dynamic Visual Music exhibition taking place in Athlone’s Luan Gallery from July 11th – August 31st 2013. It features work by leading Irish and international artists, composers, sound designers and film makers and offers gallery-goers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves within this exciting and innovative art form.
Visually, the show features a mix of abstract, narrative, computer generated and hand drawn imagery. Aurally, you can expect to hear electronic, electroacoustic, ambient, jazz and concrete sounds. The show spotlights visual artists who are employing technology and new media in creative and innovative ways as well as composers and musicians who are pushing the boundaries of Ireland’s contemporary music world.
