The Dublin leg of C!ties & Guilty Optics split 7″ launch tour hits Upstairs at Whelans this Friday & they’ve invited BATS along too.
Entry is a mere €6, or €10 with a copy of the vinyl, which comes with an exclusive download code. Doors are at 8pm, and possession of aforementioned 7″ will get you into a secret C!ties / Ginola / “special guest” gig at an as-yet undisclosed location later that night. The second split 7″ of 2010 from Limerick’s Out On A Limb Records sees Guilty Optics canoodling with C!ties to offer two sides of clattering alt rock on limited edition and individually numbered vinyl.
On one of the two A-sides Dublin’s Guilty Optics offer the shuddering “White Teeth” recorded using vintage analogue equipment, while Ennis outfit C!ties provide a giddy slab of instrumentalism with “Krakatoa” on the other side.
The release will be supported by a series of live shows featuring the two bands. The 7″ will be available at live dates and selected independent record stores. Each comes with a unique downloadable code.
