A quick roundup of all the Christmas-themed gigs between now and the big day…
5th December:
We Love Yule – Simon Community Benefit
The Joy Gallery, Red Space, 2 Rutland place, Parnell Square East, Dublin 1.
4pm till late, €12
Stalls including the Cake Cafe, Blazing Salads and several others selling art, records, clothes and such, will take place from 4pm until around 7pm/8pm along with some films and music; thereafter the rest of the night will continue on with performances, bands, DJ’ing contributions from Skinny Wolves, Maximum Joy, Cap Pas Cap, and more films.
The added bonus is that you can bring your own tipples, it will run late; and there will be some surprises, secret guests (though not in a creepy held-captive-in-the-attic kind of way) and a raffle with original photography donated by Brian Cross (B+) and CandyCollective.

Bodytonic & Thumped Present Bring The Toys 2008: Rockers vs Ravers 2: The Rematch
The Bernard Shaw, 8pm, Admission = 1 Toy (unwrapped, new and boxed, obviously, and NO CHEAP TAT, right?) OR cash donation. Or both.
Bring The Toys is back again, doing it for the kids. Bring a toy (nothing soft or cuddly, thanks) in its original box and/or cough up a few quid whilst we provide the good times via DJs like Nialler9, Skinny Wolves DJs, Jon Averill (Shock), Gav Feeney (Hot Press), and all in aid of Crumlin Children’s hospital.
Before the music kicks off at 8pm, the GBS Xmas Art Expo starts 6:30pm. Artists featured include Bren B, Chris Judge, Yerself, Tiny Little Horse, Linda Brownlee, Richard Gilligan, Steve Ryan, Gaetan Billault, Fink, Maser, Gene, Loki, Rask, Asbestos, Morgan, Danleo, Synth Eastwood and more… Oh and there’s free beer from Becks, apparently.
