UPDATED: Adebisi Shank have announced that their Whelan’s gigs this Thursday & Friday will be the last gigs they will ever play in Ireland
But what’s missing from announcements so far is a reason. And yes, we’ve asked. Current working theories include “they’re splitting up”, “they’re changing their name”, “they have to give up playing live on doctor’s orders”, “they hate Ireland” and “they’re being deported”.
A couple of weeks back the press release announcing the second gig said they’d be the last gigs the band do in Dublin “for quite a while”, which has now progressed to “last ever” gigs in Ireland, so whatever the explanation it looks like this is it, people.
