Apart from CMAT, I can't tell the difference between the current wave of women pop stars. They all look the same, dress the same. I can't tell which are the good ones.

As for the male ones, I can't think of any apart from Ed Sheeran and Sam Fender (who I've never knowingly heard and couldn't pick out of a police lineup)

So very out of touch. So very old.

I was the oldest cat at the lesbian rave last night..by a LONG WAY.

I was over at The Great Escape festival in Brighton last month, and weirdly I wasn't way older than everyone else - I'd say I was just a little above average. Was in the greyest moshpit I ever saw in my life

Some of them are distinctive when they start out (like Olivia Rodrigo or Billie Eilish or Dua Lipa) then get a bit generic-ised as their careers progess, which is a shame

The contactless machine didn't like me today. It said "swipe card".
Both I and barman were looking at the machine like neanderthals. Person next to me said "what, swipe? is this the 90's?".
Other barman, quickly so as to avoid anyone's embarrassment, pointed at the swipey bit that goes across the top of the machine nowadays, rather than down the side.
I paid, and no eye contact was made between any of us for the rest of the evening.

I watched a youtube about that recently - i had always assumed the sample was some inconsequential lift that nobody would ever detetect. I didn't know it was from this version, which contains every memorable hook from the ashcroft thing bar the vocal.
