The first time I ever played in public was when some 'rockers' in my year at school asked me to drum with them at a local talent contest. The name of the band was Crystal Smoke. Ugh. I still get teased about it...

My all-time favourite bandname is this: there was a husband and wife Country 'n' Irish crooning team called Two's Company. Their three backing musicians got uppity and demanded to be acknowleged on the posters.

Hence, 'The Two's Company Five' was born....

Many of them would be fine once a person associated them with great music.
(a lot of well established band names are shit but that's forgiven)
