Amazing that these fuckwits detonated 2 bombs on a Saturday, in the run-up to Christmas on a busy shopping street & only managed to injure 2 people (assuming the reports that the dead guy was a suicide bomber are true).

As with most of these terrorist plots,the whole thing seems to be a slightly more sinister version of amateur hour.we're supposed to be afraid of a bunch of clowns with bombs stuck in their underpants,shoes and elsewhere that only seem to bring harm to themselves?and we gotta put up with excessive security when travelling because of it?as for the american war on terror-the anti-terrorist section of the fbi* seems to see its job description as finding impressionable youths,radicalising them through the use of informants then giving them fake bombs to detonate and arresting them when they try.would they not be better served focusing on genuine threats as opposed to turning confused kids into would be mass murderer's?the whole thing is an absolute farce.

well,thats what i was getting at with post 6,most of the suicide bombers are young men who have been radicalised by others and told its glorious to kill and die for religion.Its not,the basic message behind all religions is surely one of love,more people need to realise that and stop pushing their own twisted ideals in the guise of religion.

well said,free speech is of course vital but we should have the decency not to use it in a way that will upset others and not just because we are afraid of what the mad men might do but because we have respect for the average person of a particular belief.
