You doing this again tomorrow? If so, are you gonna be in Ringsend? Because if you are, I can't vote, but I'll try to get out and get some biccies for real. Don't have time to bake any. No rides, though. Strictly above the belt, over the blouse.

thanks jane. im not doing it again. ever. all because i didnt get a roide ow rov ih.
there was at two instances that i thought that there was a chance that i could be 'invited in' for 'tea' but alas they were just good-lookin women playin with my head. women should totally play up to the cliche cheesey porno scenarios. life would be So much more fun.

I'll give you biscuits next election Ernesto

thanks seanc. but i wont be workin for it!

that was realy tiring work today and i felt like a complete prick calling between 5.45 and 6.45 what with people busy makin/eatin their din-dins. nice people made it all worth while.
it remided me of workin in a shop - you get so many cunts/ assholes / lunies that when you get a sound person or someone who's a bit of craic, you really really appreciate it.
fuck fianna fail.

when some women told me their verdict, they asked me mine out of curiosity and it was really funny when i agreed on outing those fianna fail pricks and really awkward when i contradicted their idiocy when i said, 'well personally i cant stand them and they need to be booted out asap before they run this country completely into the ground'. good times. hilarious faces on them as responses

felt really bad waking up all those foreigners to tell them 'oh shit, sorry, i woke you and you can't vote....rrrrrrreally sorry dude'.

then many foreigners' houses later..' wait a minute.......i WOKE THEM UP?!!!! lazy immigrants!!!!!!'.
that amused me for a while too......

Oh, and another thing about Fianna Fail! They called to the door the other night, and to be honest, I think that if someone is clearly not allowed to vote in this country, it's just good manners to say, "Sorry to bother you." The young buck who called put a leaflet in my hand and said, "Hi, are you a registered voter?" And I said, "No, I'm not allowed." And he said, "Well, is there anyone in the house who is?" Fucker. I just stood there, agog, staring at the leaflet, wanting to cry.

Hey ernesto, i just noticed today how much you look like ciaran crayonsmith in that photo of him with the blue guitar. Did anyone ask you how your US tour was?

no i do not, Ciarán is much more handsomer.
my US tour was sweet though.

I found out today there is a socialist party in Ireland (I may be a bit oblivious) but there is only one member.

Stuff like this baffles me. The SP has more than one member, at the time you posted they only had one TD but they have people active all over the country (politics exists outside the dail). How had you not heard of Joe Higgins, seriously?

Hey weeler, not an ambush but an honest question - how do you feel about the aggressive recruitment tactics of the SWP? I signed an anti-war petition in about 2003 and got letters for months along with phone calls asking why i wasn't showing up for meetings in tralee on a weekly basis. Do you not thing this kind of hardline tactics make the SWP seem more like a hardline group than they actually (presumably) are? I mean, i'd actually support ye only for the harassment i felt the few months after i signed the petition. Even chuggers have a break off point...

Pretty sure he has no affiliation with the SWP.

I am not and never was a member of the SWP. They are the scurge of left-wing politics in Ireland and britain. I won't work with them and don't know of any left groups that will work with them (including sf and labour).

They destroyed the anti-war movement with their anti-democratic practices and their recruitment techniques make the average cult look half-assed.

I'm in the WSM, you can more on our history with the SWP here -

Just to clarify the Socialist Party and the Socialist Workers Party are different groups too, SP are much nicer.

the s.w.p. are leninists - they see themselves as the 'vanguard' that will lead everyone to revolution. because of this, they regard themselves as having the right to 'lead' every vaguely lefty type movement that arises in contemporary politics. if somebody else happens to be leading on a particular issue (or better still, if the issue is not being falsely divided into 'leaders' and 'led' at all) then they'll usually set up a seperate, parallel organisation that they can then lead. yes, they're pricks.

w.s.m. are anarchists - 'tis a very different kettle of fish altogether. for the average onlooker, it can all get a bit baffling in a judean-people's-front-versus-people's-front-of-judea way, but it's a pretty appreciable difference in the end. put it this way; they'll never try and sell you a newspaper.

edit: doh, question answered... me and my slow typing...
