Years ago. I really liked it. Sun baked, history soaked, only a wee small country, culture is somewhat similar to Ireland. Gozo is a mad island, time warpsville. I'm thinking of heading back there soon enough.

Depends what you're looking for. In Europe I'd recommend Barcelona, TOP town. If you got money for tickets (and plenty of time) hit South America and/or Cuba. I'm assuming you're not in to poxy package type holidays.

A more specific answer would be to head to Barcelona to coincide with when they are playing Real Madrid at home, (November 28th) Always an extra special buzz in town then, Aer Lingus have a deal right now, til Monday midnight, €70 return incl taxes and service charges

Yeah, that is true, not as bad as Ireland, but close enough. Great town though. First place I thought of in Europe, but there's loads of good spots. Going off the beaten path is the way to go , generally
