Actually, does anyone have any recommendations for speeding up a progressively slowing Mac? Is there a Mac equivalent of CCleaner?

My G4 iBook has been getting slower and slower since the updates stopped (OS not supported, architecture not supported, flash player and others no longer working) and now himself is having the same problem with his Intel iMac (only 3 years old!)

I've become so annoyed that I'm using my pc more than my Mac (it runs XP - 10 years old and still supported)!

Do a clean install of the os. You should be able to run 10.5 on it.

Edit: first run applejack. That does a good job of cleaning up system files and the like
