I'm listening to Music for Films now and he's on that a few times. Along with the 'Nonce-Sense' thing it does reduce the hatred.

But then again, he did write 'invisible touch'

i quite like invisible touch actually.

no, really.

he had a lot to contend with when gabriel left.

all that drumming and singing

i reckon he wrote some decent pop in his day.

Still laughing at that one.

The key change at the end makes me hack up dense swathes of vile chunkage though.

theres a lot to be said for key changes, especially in pop music. they can drag a fairly pants idea out for an extra 45 seconds if you're lucky. production houses like stock aitken and waterman must have loved the old key change. just transpose the end few bars in cubase and bingo! - instant poptasmagoria.

In the world of westlife it is the moment when they step off the stools to sing 'girl, you girl my girl, girl'.

The one at the end of livin on a prayer seems almost impossible and you don't believe they can do it, not until the very second you hear 'WHOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH, we're half way there!'

Tonight, I have mostly been listening to Carcass, Earth Crisis, Andrea Bocelli, TRM, Don Caballero, Edie Brickell, Rainer Maria, George Michael, Evergreen Terrace, Good Clean Fun..... 24 hours worth of mp3's on random play rules

Modal changes......
THE FUCKING DEVIL'S WORK
a POX ON THE PAIR OF YE. Goddamnit, don't you know what you're saying???!!!
Aarrrgghhh

Seriously though, the new White Stripes.

his post 'so' stuff is patchy.. but some of it is still good. check out 'desire' soundtrack to last temptation of christ. quite good, that.

phil played drums on john martyns grace and danger, which is quite the album...
