Pretty much the best song of the last 5 years, perhaps longer. I'm not usually one for hyperbole, but jesus christ. Been listening since 2009 and each time it destroys me. Spare, haunting, visionary, devastating.

woah.

I should start posting my prince listening to go along with your Neil Young listening.

Anyway, this week I've been listening to copious amounts of James Brown and the D'Angelo album but am now listening to the Operators EP/mini album

dreadful artwork there

I should start posting my prince listening to go along with your Neil Young listening.

I need to actually listen to Prince, aside from a few of his most famous songs, I don't really know his stuff. I have 3-4 albums that arrived in a pile of stuff that I must dig out.

The NY marathon is for a Facebook music group I'm on. That and I fucking love Neil Young!

Robert Wyatt - Schleep. More or less all week.

I love that album, it's so warm and jolly despite apparently having it's origins in a nervous breakdown and it has Evan Parker bleating all over a pop tune. I just wish Paul Weller wasn't on it.

I had Old Rottenhat on a lot recently. I had it written off years ago but it turns out is deadly after all.

Leonard Cohen live in Dublin was on TV new years eve - dreadful. The latest experimental mixture didn't grab me as much a the other two at all. I wonder if he plans to continue churning that stuff out. All the Neil Young is pure torture.

Yes, it's great. I've only recently started listening to him. I am very much in love with that song Free Will And Testament in spite of the presence of Weller. And those Domino reissues are beautifully done and reasonably priced. Gimme some pointers about which one to get next ...

The Cohen album's good but unnecessary given that two other live albums from recent tours exist. I bought it because I have everything else and I was at that concert.

Your anti-Neil Young stance offends me.

I've spent all my life veering between liking Neil Young a lot and then totally losing interest. I'm falling into the totally-losing-interest phase at the moment. Will probably last about 10 years.
