Before work I listened to the absolutely fantastic 24-24 music by Dinosaur L. I just bought it over the weekend.

On the way to work (my minidisc is functioning once again) I listened to a very early Jeff Mills mix (as the Wizzard). Lots of fun.

And then a Joey Beltram mix on Kiss Fm from '91. Early hardcore. Hoovers and screaming galore. Great.

NON - Children of the Black Sun (I was expecting something aggressive, harsh and unlistenable, but this is actually nice and ambient)

thats one of his best. it was completely slated in reviews when it came out, but its a very pleasant little album. his best harsh one is the previous one, "receive the flame", which is much more intense but oddly relaxing.

Sad to say but the only stuff I have by him is:
Terra Incognita: Ambient Works 1975 - Present
and this: http://www.discogs.com/release/13144

The compilation is fantastic - keep meaning to track down more of his music.

"easy listening for iron youth" is a compilation of his noise stuff, which is excellent in parts.

however, avoid his spoken word stuff like the plague. it usually comes out under his own boyd rice name, but also the NON album "might", which is awful.

scizophrenic- nad mika
raus raus- betamax format
gwen steffani singing coo coo in some song
the gap- YSP!
david bowie- queen kong
crazy - gnarls
