just finished another classic TVM / ABC Movie Of The Week.

Honeymoon With A Stranger. 1969.

starring Janet Leigh.

While vacationing with her husband in Italy, a middle-aged woman wakes up one morning to find that the man in bed with her is not her husband but an imposter. He, however, claims he is her husband, and she cannot get anyone to believe her.

Inevitably brilliant.

I must remember that trick!

Dark Water with Jennifer Connolly, from the same director that brought us the US version of The Ring.
While slow the ending unlike other films of this ilk was very good.

btw it rains alot in NY :\

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would, considering how appalling all of Verhoeven's recent work has been.

It looked really beautiful and even though aspects of the story were a kinda far-fetched (like, say, the premise - I'm sure Jewish singers and Nazi Hauptsturmfuhrers were having illicit romances left right and centre in 1944) I liked that no one group was either glorified or vilified.

It's nice that he got his crotch shot in too.
