What movie did you watch last night? (10 Viewers)

The Black Dahlia.

Damned good. But almost incomprehensible for most of it due to Josh "Mumble Mumble" Hartnett. Dreadful actor.

Some great set-pieces in it. Some really good De Palma spooky-shit.

Rescued by the last fifteen minutes.

In keeping with my current obsession with Virginia Woolf:

Oh and yet again:

There's a musical of Grey Gardens running in Manhattan :):)
I'm going next week and am strangely tempted.....

yep, same guy as The Squid and The Whale which I have yet to see.

Kicking and Screaming is deadly. Great dialogue and lots of talking. Some have compared it to The Big Chill which isn't wide off the mark except that the dudes in this are about to head into the real world. I first saw it when it came out around 10 / 11 years ago and I was in the same position as the protagonists. Watching the DVD brought lots of memories back.

Which is worth watching just for James Woods alone. He's the dad i never had.

And this:

The King. John Hurt being a born again evangelist and Gael Garcia Marqez being an evil badass. S'alright.

Misery. Came home last night, flicked around and said 'no, seen it too many times, but once I watched a scene I was hooked again. It's a really really good screen play, and Bates and Caan are fantastic. The hobbling scene was as hard to watch as ever.

Classic line -

'You want it? Here - eat it 'til you choke, YOU SICK TWISTED FUCK!'
