I loved the Unbearable Lightness but hated Laughter and Forgetting. I read them in that order.

this has been my experience also (except that i liked unbearable lightness rather than loved it). me and kundera are through now.

m.a.s.h. i have never seen the film or t.v. series but the book is one of the funniest i have ever read. up there with puckoon by spike milligan.

love that book, im halfway through one of his last books now, Sirens of Titan....living on mars and wormholes and suchlike..

mind bogglingly disgusting. part of dennis cooper's little house on the bowery series. every conceivable sexual perversion and bodily function gets described in graphic detail. packed to the gills with gruesome violence too. i thought i had a strong constitution but this left me really grossed out. defo not for the fainthearted. transgressive to the max!

Netherland-Joseph O'Neill. Enjoyable. Great structure, well-realised characters (hilariously deluded narrator reminded me of him from The Great Gatsby) and some memorable sentences. Gonna start 'Child 44' by Tom Rob Smith tonight.
