Just read Slade HouseYeah, I agree. Although, I liked the character from the Bone Clocks that re-appeared here. I'd like to see him write a straight-ish novel again, like Black Swan Green.
I just finished Slade House. I was disappointed it was a Bone Clocks thing again.Hottish on the heels of The Bone Clocks - this was a neater, snappier read, with a creepy yet oddly peaceful mood.

I didn't think I'd managed to post that. I was going to say that these two were my least favourite of his books, he's gone a bit Neil Gaimany and I'm not keen on the creepy vibe.I didn't mind too much - his characters have a habit of popping up across several books. I quite like the one that showed up here. But I know what you mean - I'd like to see him make a clean break from this type of thing.
she gets a mention on the back cover of the edition I got alright.

Nope, it's pitched at a general audience. It's good but not as illuminating as I had hoped.That looks really good. Would I need to know any neuroscience before opening it?
It's quite expensive so you're probably better off waiting.It'll probably appear in the library at some stage, might hold off till then.
this isn't great. I'm getting lost/bored.reading this;
Its a lot more readable than the only other Pynchon book I attempted (and abandoned), V
Not too far into it (60 pages or so) but good so far.
