Worrying at 2 in the morning about the stupid risky things I did and convincing myself its all going to come to a sticky end unless I stop that sort of thing straight away.

For ages I was convinced that I would never make it to 20. I was at work in the kitchens the day before my birthday, and I didn't leave until it was well and truly 10 minutes into my birthday because I was sure that as soon as I got on my bike aged 19 I would roll the throttle all the way open and blast myself into the back of a bus.
I would be safer playing with the knives.

Then when I made it into the 20th year, I was thrilled, thought I had made the huge milestone and could totally relax now.

So I absolutely rallied home since it was late and there was hardly any traffic and I was so elated.
